TALENT MEANS BUSINESS COMPETITION

Meet the Contestants
The long awaited Talent Means Business Completion organized by YOUCAT fellowship of the Catholic Youth Organization of Nigeria (CYON) Ogba became a reality on Wednesday the 2nd of September 2015.
This wonderful event which sought to discover raw talents was held at the church hall of OLHR Catholic Church Ogba and had in attendance youths and the religious from Ogba and environs.
The splendid outing was anchored by Obinna Ijeoma and Udoh Leonard.
A total of 12 contestants performed at the event and their choice of talent were from four major categories namely;
            I.            Music
          II.            Comedy

         III.            Dance and Choreography
        IV.            Motivational Speaking

     1.      Kerno and Cornel: Category- Music
     2.      Mc Kodoskey: Category Comedy
     3.      Lebechi: Category Music
     4.      Mama Dance: Category -Dance and Choreography
     5.      Grey: Category - Music (Guitarist)
     6.      Holy Holy: Category – Comedy
     7.      Ijeoma: Category - Dance and Choreography
     8.      Nyna Samuel: Category – Music
     9.     You are God: Category – Motivational Speaker
   10.     As e dey hot: Category – Comedy
   11.     Perpetual Steppers: Category – Dance and Choreography
   12.     Gladys: Category – Music


Four outstanding judges formed part of the jury for the competition. The four are all interesting personalities who are passionate about the youth. They are;
A section of the audience
·         Mr Kelvin Egbeji – A renowned audio Engineer based in Abuja
·         Mrs Uloma Ogu- One of the sponsors of the competition, a health consultant and a public speaker
·         Mr. Augustine Okolo – An ex- provincial vice president of CYON
·         Lady Ogechi Obiodun – A lover of youth and very young at heart.

The stage was thrown open with the contestants accorded 5 minutes each to display their talent. They all performed gallantly to the applause and admiration of the judges and audience.
Following the response of the audience, seven out of the twelve contestants were voted out leaving the remaining five with exceptional performances to contest for the second round.
The last 5 standing contestants were Mama dance, Grey, Holy Holy, Nyna Samuel and Perpetual Steppers. The second round saw a more heated performance by each of the 5 contestant as they competed for who will go home with the star prize.
Nyna Samuel emerged the winner of the competition, followed by Grey and Perpetual Steppers who were the 1st and 2nd runner up respectively.

Cash prizes and certificates were given to each of the winners accordingly.
